Hamilton-Ryker is looking to fill the position of a Machine Operator for the Steel Adhesive department. This is a direct-hire opportunity in the Murfreesboro Area. Direct Hire Position
2nd shift, Monday-Friday
Hours, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Pay rate starting at $21.12 an hour
Responsibilities:
- Manages materials per the production schedule
- Stocks the machine with tape, pads, boxes, and skids
- Makes boxes with labels and the lot number stamped on side of each box
- Performs complete changeovers efficiently to all machines in department sixty-nine daily
- Cleans the video jet and adjusts the print
- Adjusts and/or changes out the marker
- Cleans the tape block, hold down block, and rail
- Organizes and maintains supplies, tools, and workstations throughout the shift
- Removes empty bins from the machine and takes them to the designated area
- Loads the correct material in bins into the machines according to the schedule
- Fills in as an Attendant or Technician when needed
- Performs all other duties, as requested, or required
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- The associate has shown superior operator qualities and/or his/her work history indicates a background of mechanical aptitude having worked on and around similar machinery
- Ability to work with various tools used in repairing machines
- Forklift Required
- Moderate decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination.
